Blythe Construction Wins Carolinas AGC Excellence in Safety Award
July 10th, 2007Blythe Construction was recently chosen as first place winners of the Eighth Annual AGC (the Associated General Contractors) Excellence in Safety Award. Blythe won the first place award in the category of Highway Division with More than One Million Man Hours.
According to Kenneth Boggs, MS, ASP, Director, Safety Services for Carolina’s AGC, Blythe’s safety program “was chosen not only for their programs they have in place, or for their reduction in accident and workers compensation costs, but for their numerous statistical data tools to measure and clearly show their progress and success.”
The award program is an ongoing and evolving effort by the AGC of America to recognize companies that have developed and implemented excellent safety and loss prevention programs achieved through management commitment, employee training and program innovation.
